BREAKING THE CYCLE

A mother and daughter stand outside a shelter on the day before they move into their new apartment. This mother spent time in the shelter with her mother, too, and is hoping to write a new narrative for her growing family.  Her search for housing took several months and forced her to make difficult decisions that most of us will never need to make.
